Currently we are seeking an experienced individual to join our team as the Shop Manager at our Davenport, IA Terminal.

Shop Manager Responsibilities

• Oversee the day-to-day operations of a 2 shift Tractor/Trailer Diesel Shop, including:
  • Scheduling and training Diesel Mechanics
  • Scheduling service
  • Creating work orders
  • Quality assurance on completed work in the shop
  • Working with vendors
  • Warranty/accident claims
  • Assure all DOT, OSHA, DNR, Federal, and State regulations are followed and adhered to
  • Inventory of company equipment and Parts Room control
  • Proficient with computers, maintenance programs and windows programs
  • Willingness to work on equipment
  • Ability to manage by phone and/or email while away from the office
  • Responsible for the condition and maintenance of Buildings & Grounds
  • Other duties as assigned

Shop Manager Qualifications

• Ability to work within corporate procedures and guidelines
• Shop supervisor experience required
• Experience in hiring, morale and productivity of employees
• Valid driver’s license required
• CDL preferred but not required
• Ability to travel as needed for training
• Post job offer physical and drug screen required
