Decker Truck Line, Inc. is growing and has an immediate opportunity available for an experienced individual to join our team as Cargo/Compliance Specialist at our Corporate Headquarters in Fort Dodge, IA. Great working schedule of Monday-Friday 8-5pm and rotating Saturdays approximately once per month 8-12pm. On-call for after hours safety issues approximately once every 8 weeks.

Cargo/Compliance Specialist Responsibilities

  • Processing files on accidents/incidents/cargo claims
  • Maintaining DOT file credentials (CDLs & MVRs)
  • Tracking completion of quarterly training and retraining assignments for drivers
  • Specialized duties include administering cargo claims, processing reports, coordinating return of product and processing proof of delivery receipts, and working with insurance companies, customers and shippers on claims
  • Handling motorist complaints
  • Counseling and coaching drivers and following up with drivers on corrective actions
  • Cross-training with the other Safety Specialists to provide support when they are out
  • Great working schedule of Monday-Friday 8-5pm and rotating Saturdays approximately once per month 8-12pm. On-call for after-hours safety issues approximately once every 8 weeks.

Cargo/Compliance Specialist Qualifications
  • Previous directly-related experience is a plus
  • Follow-up and communication skills must be of the highest caliber
  • Must be well organized and proactive with great attention to detail
  • Must be a team player
  • Proficiency in MS Office required
  • Must have excellent data entry skills and be able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience with McLeod software and Omnitracs E-log systems are a plus
  • Post job offer drug screen required
