Decker is expanding our Flatbed services and is seeking a motivated and energetic individual to join our team in Bessemer, AL as a Transportation Business Development Manager.

Transportation Business Development Manager Responsibilities:

• Identify and prospect new Flatbed customers while growing and expanding our current Flatbed customer base
• Understand our network and match preferred lanes with freight
• Complete pricing and bid packages
• Negotiate rates to meet margin objectives and drive revenue
• Travel as business requires
• Other duties as assigned

Transportation Business Development Manager Qualifications:

• Interested in building a career with a growth oriented company
• Driven to make money with a talent for negotiating
• Able to build client relationships quickly
• A strong team player with excellent written and verbal communications skills
• Able to manage multiple tasks effectively and efficiently
• A seasoned background in Transportation Sales
• Flatbed Truckload experience
• Experience with carrier sales, marketing, customer service and brokerage sales preferred
• A Bachelor’s degree in sales/marketing, business, logistics or a transportation-related field preferred
• Expert knowledge of the internet and MS Office Suite
• Experience with Qualcomm/Omnitracs, PTI, CSA Performer, McLeod systems is a plus
• Valid Driver’s License required for travel
• Post job offer drug screen required
