Currently we are seeking an experienced individual to join our team as a Diesel Mechanic Technician at our Hammond, IN terminal.

 

Diesel Mechanic Technician Description

Our Diesel Mechanic Technicians perform diagnostic, repair, maintenance and installation duties of DOT Flatbed and Reefer/Van Tractors and Trailers and non-DOT vehicles in our company fleet. This position has a great schedule of Monday-Friday 7am-4:30pm with a weekly on-call rotation!

 

Diesel Mechanic Technician Responsibilities

•Responsible for tractor, trailer and reefer maintenance and repair

•Process work orders

Accurately fill out necessary documents
Opportunity for growth into shop management for the right person
•Other duties as assigned

 

Diesel Mechanic Technician Qualifications

•Steel and Aluminum Welding experience is a plus
Computer based diagnostic skills with OEM interfaces
•Reefer experience is a plus

•Paccar experience preferred

•Must have own tools
•Valid driver’s license required; CDL a plus but not required

Basic computer knowledge for email and work orders etc.

Knowledge and adherence to DOT/OSHA policies and procedures
