Currently we are seeking an experienced individual to join our team as Level 3 or Lead / Chief Diesel Mechanic Technician at our Hammond, IN terminal.

 

Lead / Chief Diesel Mechanic Technician Description

Our Diesel Mechanic performs diagnostic, repair, maintenance and installation duties of all DOT and non-DOT vehicles for company. This position has a great schedule of Monday-Friday 7am-4pm with an on-call and weekend rotation!

 

Lead / Chief Diesel Mechanic Technician Responsibilities

•Responsible for tractor, trailer and reefer maintenance and repair including air conditioning

•Processing work orders

Accurately fill out necessary documents

•Other duties as assigned

 

Lead / Chief Diesel Mechanic Technician Qualifications

•Welding
Computer based diagnostic skills with OEM interfaces
•Refrigeration certified preferred

•Carrier certified preferred
•Peterbilt experience preferred

•Must have own tools
•Valid driver’s license required; CDL preferred but not required

Basic computer knowledge for email and work orders etc.

Knowledge and adherence to DOT/OSHA policies and procedures
